What Is Person County SKYWARN?

Person County SKYWARN operates in conjuction of Central Carolina SKYWARN. We are not Amauter Radio Operators, but we are trained weather spotters trained by the National Weather Service. We do not employ tones on our repeater, which is channel 9 on your GMRS radio. We ask statios that do not have severe weather criteria to pass to stay off channel 9 during actvations. We ARE NOT a club nor will we ever be. Our repeater is on top of the County EMS tower in Roxboro.
